Intelligent Dance Music (IDM) and Post-Club Chill.
Beat Red Records is a new independent label, producing intelligent dance music and post-club chill out tracks. This is music you can dance to, or just listen to as you work out, run or sit quietly in a chair, reading.
Based in Vancouver and Tokyo, Beat Red Records is the official label of Canadian recording artist/producer DJ Beat Red, and is the dance/electronica specialty label in the Rufus Lin Productions stable.
Spanning the various genres of electronica and contemporary dance music, Beat Red Records focuses on three broad categories:
- Highly danceable electronic dance music (EDM);
- Meditative, chill music in memorable arrangements that you can listen to at home or at work; and
- Well-formed contemporary electronic music, with proper
theoretical foundations, for our friends in the classical music world.
